Pastor Dale: Coronavirus Update

March 13 2020

Dear CCK Family,

  • All Calvary Chapel Kelowna church gatherings are suspended
  • Sunday services will be streamed online at 10:30 a.m.:
  • The Elders are continuing to monitor developments
  • The church office remains open as we all continue in ministry together
  • The best way to stay in touch is to subscribe to the church e-bulletin:

Coronavirus is affecting our world, not just day by day, but moment by moment. As we try to keep abreast of all the developments through medical and government agencies, we have prayed, thought, and discussed the best way to respond as a church.

In meeting with the Elders, we have decided that the best way to serve the body of Christ is to suspend all planned church gatherings for the time being. This includes Sunday morning services, Growing in Faith classes, men’s and women’s studies, youth group, home groups, and all activities of the church.

In all of my years of ministry this is a first for me, and probably for most of you. However, in light of all the information and actions that our government is asking of others, we feel this is the spiritual response the Lord would have us take.

As your pastor I trust this letter communicates to you wisdom, care and faith. The elders and I have not made this decision lightly, nor with fear, for we know that God is in control and will use this time in world history to show that man is in desperate need of God’s love and salvation.

I pray that the Lord will open many doors of conversation to share His love and message of salvation with those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ.

We will be sharing a time of worship and I will be ministering the Word of God on Sunday online, in a live broadcast, and pray that it will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we continue to follow the Lord together. You can find this broadcast at Be sure to subscribe when you are there.

You can also stay aware of all developments through the Calvary Chapel Kelowna e-bulletin. You can subscribe at

May the love of God, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Every blessing,
Pastor Dale
