Interested in serving? Serving at Calvary is about serving Jesus. Paul tells us to work “heartily as unto the Lord,” and whether that means setting up or stacking chairs, taking out the garbage, teaching kids, singing or playing in a worship team, operating sound systems or leading a ministry, serving must be done with a sincere heart to Jesus.
For your first 6 months at Calvary we want you to “sit and soak.” This is your time to get to know us and to sit under the teaching of God’s Word while you decide if Calvary is a church family you want to adopt as your own. It is also our opportunity to get to know you while we minister to and disciple you in God’s Word.
Getting involved begins with rolling up your sleeves and helping with setup and cleanup. We take seriously Jesus’ example of servanthood to his disciples when he served them in a practical way by washing their feet. At CCK there is little that’s more basic than setting up chairs and preparing the Martin Centre for the Calvary family to worship God and hear His Word at our Sunday worship gatherings.
When you’re ready to serve in a specific ministry role – such as with a worship team or helping with a Kids Church class – you complete the online application (see below) and meet with Pastor Dale or Pastor Kevin to assess where you can best serve using your talents, time, abilities, and availabilities.
Thank you for your willingness to serve alongside the Calvary Chapel family.
Please read ALL instructions carefully BEFORE beginning application completion and submission.
